What exactly am I getting?

Dedicated fitness training, nutrition guidance, personalized workouts, and progress tracking via the trainwell app. Talk with your trainer via text, video messages, and live calls.

You and your trainer discuss your background and get clear on your goals. Your trainer makes you custom workouts and holds you accountable. Your fitness plan is built around your needs and your goals, be it getting stronger, losing weight, feeling healthier, or all of the above.

The app guides you through every step of your workouts. You don't have to think about your workouts, just show up and do the work.

Is there a free trial?

Yes! You’ll get a 14-day free trial. The trial includes a free 40-minute call with your trainer, a custom fitness and health plan in the trainwell app, and near-daily communication with your trainer. The trial starts the day of your first trainer call. Only one free trial per customer.

Do you help with nutrition?

Yes! While your trainer doesn’t provide specific meal plans, they do teach you how to create your own meal plans, give healthy eating tips, and explore mindful eating. The trainwell app helps you track your healthy eating habits as well.

What does it cost?

You have unlimited 1-on-1 training access for only $179 USD/month (billed in 3-month increments). This is an investment in your fitness that includes your own dedicated trainer, a personalized workout program created and updated by your trainer according to your needs, unlimited messaging and video calls with your trainer, and access to the trainwell app to do the guided workouts.

Is there a contract?

No. You can cancel at any time inside the app. No questions and no hassle (unlike cable providers). Subscriptions automatically renew each billing cycle (monthly, quarterly, or annually depending on your plan choice).  

What equipment do I need?

Nothing! Your trainer helps you live a better life with as much, or as little equipment as you have. Your trainer builds a personalized plan for you whether you’re at home, on the go, or at a gym.

Is trainwell available internationally?

Yes! Trainwell is offered in English and is currently available for international customers. Trainer availability is based on US time zones. All subscriptions are billed in USD.

Do I choose my trainer?

Absolutely! We’ll suggest a few trainers who have a background, personality, and training style that best match your quiz answers and you get to choose who you want to work with. You can also swap trainers at any time.

Can I switch trainers?

Yes! You can switch trainers whenever you want, however many times you want.  You can switch directly in the trainwell app or reach out to support@trainwell.net for help finding the right fit.

How does the technology work?

Whenever you work out, our system becomes your trainer's eyes and ears by automatically tracking your sets, pacing, and range of motion. Your trainer's voice is right in your ear telling you what to do next and correcting any problems with your pacing or form.

Your trainer can support you with movement, nutrition, mindfulness, and recovery. For movement, you'll get a custom workout plan which might include traditional workouts (for home or the gym) and ideas for everyday activities you might not think of as “exercise.”

You’ll also have the ability to work on up to four routines (habits) at a time in the areas of movement, nutrition, mindfulness, and recovery. But don’t worry you can work on as few as you want. It’s all about small doable steps and focusing on today.

Do I need a smartwatch or fitness tracker?

Nope, no smartwatch or tracker is necessary. As long as you have an Android or iPhone device you’ll be able to use a trainer. However, if you have an Apple or Wear OS powered smart watch you'll have access to our motion tracking technology! We recommend a Series 5 (S5) or newer for Apple Watches and a Wear OS 3 watch or newer for Android devices.

Can I use my Garmin, Fitbit, or other smart watches with trainwell?

Yes you can! However, we do not have a built-in app for Garmin or Fitbit like we do with the Apple Watch. So you can't control/manage your trainwell specific workouts from those other watches. But you can still track your workouts using your watch's built in fitness and/or Heart Rate tracker and as long as your watch data is connected to Apple Health or Google Health apps then we'll be able to pull that data into the trainwell app!

Can I pay for my program with FSA/HSA?

Yes! If you're in the U.S you may be eligible for full reimbursement by your HSA/FSA for your training.
1. When signing up for trainwell check the box saying you are interested in HSA/FSA payment.
2. Then, we'll send you a special link that walks you through getting reimbursed.
